Partnering with parents
We believe that it is very important for parents, caregivers and teachers to work together as partners to help children receive as much benefit from schooling as possible.
Children whose parents are interested in their work do better than children whose parents are uninterested or who are not allowed to be interested. That is why we strongly encourage our parents to partner with us!
Children can make further gains in their learning when the language that is used at school is shared with caregivers. We encourage you, dear parents to talk to you child about school activities and praise effort over outcome. To support you in doing this we provide daily feedback about each child’s learning and daily activities. We also prepare letters before each unit so that you know:
The title of the unit
What you children will be learning
Some of the things they will be doing
A few ways in which you can help you child as he works through the unit
Also, if you have any suggestions on how we can support you, please do not hesitate to talk to us! You can contact us by e-mail, telephone or in person –whichever way you find convenient.
